Introduction
We are proud to share the mid-term update of the Erasmus+ vETskillinG project. Over the past year, collaborating parties have taken important steps in preparing VET students for the energy transition, combining technical innovation with generic skills.
Transnational Meetings So Far
🇩🇰 Roskilde, Denmark – Kick-off Meeting (Nov 2023)
The project officially started in Roskilde, where partners setup the collaboration. Agreements were made on project management, dissemination, and the first technical steps in developing IoT-based weather stations.
🇪🇸 Usurbil, Spain – Partner Meeting (Mar 2024)
In Usurbil, the focus was on defining Generic Skills and linking them to energy transition challenges. Partners co-designed the first version of the Generic Skills Handbook and tested activities with teachers.
🇳🇱 Dordrecht, Netherlands – Partner Meeting (Sep 2024)
The consortium met at Da Vinci College to test and refine dissemination strategies. A clear communication plan was set up, including the decision to publish a newsletter after each meeting and to link it directly with website and social media outreach.
🇨🇭 St. Gallen, Switzerland – International Project Week (Nov 2024)
Students and teachers from all partner countries collaborated on joint challenges, combining technical work with the development of generic skills. The week highlighted teamwork, cultural exchange, and the practical application of knowledge.
We were also invited by GBS St. Gallen to present our project results. This opportunity allowed us to share and test our knowledge in an international setting. The consortium was grateful for this invitation, as it strengthened the visibility of the project and confirmed the relevance of our work beyond the partner network.
“1+1 can equal 3 – working together makes us stronger.”
