The fifth and final day of the international VETSKILLING project week in Roskilde started early. Several participants were already preparing to travel home in the afternoon — but not before presenting their work with pride.
Presentations full of growth and achievement
What an incredible week it has been! And it all came together during the students’ final presentations. Each team proudly shared their results — both in terms of technical outcomes (functioning weather stations and dashboards) and the transfer of generic skills into real teamwork and communication.
Every group delivered a strong presentation, clearly showing how much had been learned — not only as individuals but also as international teams. It was inspiring to see how theory was successfully applied in practice.
Breaking boundaries, building friendships
This week’s collaboration resulted in much more than just working prototypes. It brought new connections, open minds, and possibly lasting friendships. As Sjef'sSpecial sings in the project week song Amigo: “Strangers are strangers until you meet.” A line that perfectly sums up what VETSKILLING means for young people across Europe.
Thank you, Denmark – and see you in Germany
From all of us: a heartfelt thank you to Pernille and the teaching team in Roskilde, who welcomed and hosted us with such warmth and energy.
Although the student week has ended, the project continues. There is still one more meeting ahead – in Oberhausen, Germany, where the teaching teams will come together to evaluate the outcomes and finalize the learning materials. These will be made available for any school in Europe that wants to run a similar project in the future.
And finally, to our host country this week: TAK! 🇩🇰
