International VETSKILLING Project Week Starts Tomorrow in Roskilde, Denmark
On Sunday, June 1st, teachers and students from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and the Basque Country arrived in Roskilde (Denmark) for the international VETSKILLING project week. The week is fully dedicated to sustainability and the role that both technology and soft skills play in improving the environment we live in.
Measuring to understand — and to Act
Starting Monday, June 2nd, participants will dive into a series of technical workshops. Students will learn how to use sensors and digital tools to collect environmental data — such as temperature, air quality, and noise levels. These measurements will help them make informed decisions to create healthier and more sustainable surroundings.
Beyond Technology: The power of soft skills
Alongside the technical component, there will be a strong focus on the generic (soft) skills needed to make sustainable change happen. Workshops — led by teams from Switzerland and the Basque Country — will guide students in developing key skills such as teamwork, active listening, reflection, and taking initiative.

European collaboration in practice
VETSKILLING is a partnership between vocational schools across Europe. By sharing knowledge and experience, the schools co-create powerful learning materials that prepare students not only for their future profession but also for their role in society.
Looking Ahead
With a week full of interactive sessions, hands-on assignments, and international collaboration, this promises to be an inspiring and meaningful experience for all participants.
Stay tuned – throughout the week we’ll share updates, photos, and interviews here on the website.
